Friday Favorites 02

Hello lovelies! It's everyone's most anticipated day of the week... FRIDAY! I hope this finds you all in good health and spirits.

How has everyone been this week? I cannot believe how quickly we reached the last weekend of March. Where is the time going? Anyone else feel that as we get older, time goes faster? I always reasoned that it must be because as we get older, the concept of death and a how short life is really forms, therefore making time seem to go at hyper speed because we become aware of how little we actually have.

Anyways enough deep, philosophical thoughts for today. Let's bring on the fun times!

Recently I found The Naked Marriage Podcast. Have any of y'all heard of Dave and Ashley Willis? I was scrolling Instagram and came across a quote a friend had shared from one of the episodes, I had this moment of, "These are my people and they totally get it!" If you haven't heard of them, check it out this weekend, I promise you will not regret it. They are hilarious and so insightful.

This week, I finally got back into the swing of the reading thing and finished the book I was reading. This weekend I will be starting,  House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. Five years ago, I stumbled upon her book, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I have been a devoted fan ever since. That series has my highest praise and I cannot wait to see what engrossing story she has crafted now. If it seems like I drop off the face of the Earth this weekend, rest assured I am still alive and just sucked into her latest novel.

James and I started binge watching this show last weekend. We love watching the people perform and panel keeps us in stitches. The Masked Singer, is such a lighthearted show which I think everyone could use more of these days. Season two and all the episodes of season three on Hulu right now, so check it out. If you have seen it who do y'all think the Turtle is? I am 100% convinced it's Jesse McCartney. My inner teenage girl would know that voice anywhere.

It is no secret that I am obsessed with The Pioneer Woman. I have a ton of her cookware, all the cookbooks, and the magazines, and I record her new episodes on my DVR. I'm probably boarding on being a creepy fan, but we can keep that between us right?

With all this extra time on our hands, I found this week that my cable company has ALL her episodes on demand for viewing. I have now gone all the way back to the very start of her show and have been taking notes of all the recipes I want to try when grocery stores are back to being regularly stocked again. Basically any weight we may loose from being cooped up will probably be put back on when this is all over and an additional fifteen pounds probably. I may need to rethink that whole aversion to working out I have...

Sunday the newest Mystery 101, comes out and I could not be more excited. I am a Hallmark Movies and Mysteries junkie. Come Sunday evening I will be sitting back with a glass of wine enjoying this newest movie. We love Candace Cameron Bure in Aurora Teagarden, the Penavega couple in Picture Perfect, and Jesse Metcalfe in the newest series Martha's Vineyard. Half the reason I keep our cable is for Hallmark movies. Who else loves Hallmark for more than their Christmas movies?

Once again, I hope everyone is in good spirits and in good health. I hope we can all continue to find the bright side of this each and everyday.

Happy weekend!!!

  2. Hi. I haven't watched Love is Blind yet, but a lot of people have recommended it to me. I'll have to check it out. Most of my reality shows are done for now, so I'm looking for something new to watch. Looks like you had fun at Magic Kingdom. We are suppose to go to FL at the end of June for my birthday, but we're not sure if it will be canceled.
