About Me

I grew up a military child. We lived in Hawaii, hoping to live there again some day, Virginia, and Texas. I always swore that I would never marry a man in the military. I wanted stability, as in not to be constantly on the move and needing back up plans for my life. Alas though, never say never.

While in college (Go Bearkats!), my best friend (thirteen years and counting now) introduced me to her then boyfriend, now husband's roommate. After a few missteps and several months later James and I began to talk and actually get to know each other. Before I knew it I was head over heels for him.

Remember how I said never say never? Well after he graduated, James enlisted in the Army. One month after getting married he went off to boot camp and nine months from there I was packing up my life again and moving to Germany!

I always had a love of travel so getting stationed in Germany was dream come true. Living in Stuttgart provided me with so many opportunities to see Europe. I spent the next three years traveling all over and soaking up as much of Europe as I could. We formed such a close marriage being over there alone together. I can't think of a better way to have spent the newlywed years together.

After three years of living in Germany it was time to say goodbye to the friends we made and pack up our lives, with our growing mini me on her way and move back to the States and start the next chapter of our lives.

In October 2018, we welcomed the sweetest addition to our family, Felicity Belle. This little girl has changed our lives so much and filled our hearts with so much love. It's been a fast eighteen months and a wild ride with her by my side. I cannot wait for all the adventures to come with my little mini me.
